Why would I need to digitize my photos?

Why do I need more then one "backup"?
Having more than one backup is crucial to safeguard your digital assets, including your cherished photos. Technology glitches and accidents can lead to data loss, making multiple backups essential for redundancy. If one backup fails, another copy is available to prevent irreplaceable memories from being lost forever.
To ensure the highest level of protection, I follow the "3-2-1 Method." This strategy involves maintaining at least three copies of your data—your original files plus two backups—stored on two different types of media (such as external hard drives and cloud storage). Furthermore, one of the backups should be stored off-site, providing a safeguard against physical damage or theft. This approach offers a comprehensive solution to preserve your memories, providing peace of mind that your valuable photos remain secure and accessible, no matter the circumstances.
